How to Control Excess Armpit Sweat
Our bodies have about 3 million sweat glands that are triggered as our body temperature rises or when we are anxious and nervous. Sweating is a natural bodily function, but excess sweating, referred to as hyperhidrosis, is a problem affecting nearly 3 percent of the global population. Communication problems among the hypothalamus, sweat glands and sweat nerves are thought to be the main contributing factor to hyperhidrosis. Natural remedies, doctor-prescribed anti-cholinergic drugs and surgery are all methods of how to control the condition.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to seek medical attention if you feel you sweat excessively. Your doctor will be able to explain the treatments and remedies available to you and determine a course of action more suitable to your specific needs.
Complications surrounding hyperhidrosis are generally uncommon, however, skin beneath the armpit may become sore, irritated or infected. It is also possible to develop eczema.
