How to Rotate a Dell Monitor 90 Degrees

Rotating the image on a Dell computer monitor 90 degrees involves changing the display-orientation mode. This can be done using the native display utility of the Windows operating system. Using this utility, you can choose to rotate the screen either 90 degrees to the left or 90 degrees to the right. This can be beneficial if you have physically altered the way your Dell monitor is sitting on your desk from the traditional landscape position to the portrait position.

  • Right-click on your desktop.

  • Click "Screen Resolution."

  • Click the "Orientation" box. The selected option in the box will currently read "Landscape."

  • Rotate your Dell monitor 90 degrees to the right by selecting "Portrait." Rotate your Dell monitor 90 degrees to the left by selecting "Portrait (Flipped)."

  • Click "Apply" to rotate your Dell monitor.
