How to Download Apps to the BlackBerry 8700

If you are bored or fed up of the inbuilt applications with your BlackBerry 8700 smart phone, you can download new ones. If you want to download applications directly to your BlackBerry, connect to the BlackBerry App World. In order to connect to the BlackBerry App World you must make sure your operating system is up to date.

Instructions

Updating

1. Download the latest version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software (see Resources). Double click the download to begin setup. Follow the onscreen instructions.

2. Navigate to the BlackBerry "Update Your Phone" page and follow the instructions to update your phone to the latest version.

3. Connect your phone via USB when prompted. Once this process has finished you will be ready to install App World.

Downloading New Applications

1. Go to the "Download BlackBerry App World" web page on your BlackBerry phone.

2. Click "Download" and wait for App World to download.

3. Launch "App World" from your "Downloads" folder. From here you can browse through apps, select them and then select "Download."
