How to Transmit Music From a Computer to a Radio
Enjoying digital music on your computer gives you the convenience of listening to your favorite songs and albums without having to leave your workstation. While computers play digital music effectively, their speakers and audio output hardware may leave something to be desired. Provided your computer has a sound card with an RCA line out, TRS speaker output or TRS headphone jack, you can transmit music from your workstation to a nearby radio's superior sound system.

1
Assess the input and output ports on your computer and radio respectively. Look for an RCA "Line Out" port on your computer's sound card. Otherwise, you can use its TRS speaker or headphone output ports. Locate the RCA "Line In" port on your radio.

2
Connect the computer to your radio using the appropriate RCA, TRS or RCA-to-TRS converter cable. Insert the RCA end of the cable into the radio's color-coded "Line In" ports. Insert the other end of the cable into the computer audio output port you have chosen.
