How to Look up the Date of Birth for Relatives
Looking up the date of birth for a relative might seem easy, but these days people work hard to keep their ages to themselves, and it isn't that easy to access private information. Obviously the ideal would be to simply ask your relative for his date of birth, or at least to see his driver's license, but when that's not possible -- if you're planning a surprise party, for example -- you'll have to find another way to locate this information. Fortunately, there are ways to search for someone's date of birth online.

Find out if the person whose birth date you are searching for has a social networking page like MySpace or Facebook. Many social networking pages feature the date of birth of the individual. However, if the individual isn't keen on sharing her age, this search method won't help.

Visit the Birth Database website. Not everyone's birth date is listed on this site, but millions are so it doesn't hurt to try.

Enter the first name, last name and estimated age of the person whose date of birth you're looking for and click "Search". If your relative is listed on this site you will get their month, date and year of birth in less than one minute.

Tips & Warnings
Social networking sites give you the option of making your profile private. If you don't have your own social networking page or you are not their "friend" on any social networking sites you might not be able to view someone else's profile.
You can always try asking other family members if they know the birth date of your relative.
