How to Get TV on Your Laptop

Therefore, to enjoy television on your laptop, you will need to connect an external TV device. Nevertheless, connecting a TV tuner to your laptop is relatively simple and is something you can do in minutes.

      Shut down the laptop. Connect the coaxial cable to the external USB TV tuner and then to the antenna or cable box. Plug the AC adapter cord into the TV tuner and an available electrical outlet. Connect the small end of the USB cable to the TV tuner, then plug the flat end into an empty USB port on the laptop.

      Start the laptop, then log into Windows. Enter your administrative password if prompted to do so. Insert the USB TV tuner installation disc into the CD/DVD drive of your laptop, then wait for the installation utility to appear on the screen.

      Click the "Install" or "Setup" option on the screen, then follow the on-screen prompts to install the TV tuner driver and application software on your laptop. Reboot the computer if prompted to do so.
