How to Recover a Replaced Word Document

If you've deleted or replaced a Microsoft Word file that you need to recover, the Windows system provides a recovery, as long as appropriate backups are set for your computer. Access the data-backup feature of Windows to quickly select and restore the desired file or files.

Things You'll Need

  • System backup
  • Click on "Start," then open the "Control Panel."

  • Select "Performance and Maintenance."

  • Choose "Back up Your Data" from the available options.

  • Select "Restore Files."

  • Click on the checkbox next to each item you want to recover.

  • Click on "Close."
