How to Reinstall OpenDNS

OpenDNS is a leading Domain Name Resolution (DNS) service that provides users with access to its fast servers when resolving domain names. In many cases, OpenDNS DNS servers provide much faster and more reliable domain name resolution than do a user's Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Setting up Windows to take advantage of the performance gain provided by OpenDNS servers is relatively simple and only takes a few minutes. From time to time, however, you may need to reset settings on your computer to flush the DNS cache and correct Internet connection problems.

Click "Start" and then "Control Panel." Click "Network and Sharing Center" in the main "Control Panel" window.

    • 2

Click the "Local Area Connection" option under the "Active Networks" header. Click the "Properties" button.
