How to Test Browser Resolution on a Web Page
As a webmaster, it is important to design and build your web page to be viewable by everyone, regardless of the browser used. There are many factors to sizing your browser correctly. A few of these are the font you are using, the placement of images and if you are using right, left or center justification. Performing browser resolution tests on your web page will help you create a quality website viewable by all.

Using Google Chrome

Launch your Google Chrome browser and download the Chrome extension titled "Resolution Test" (see Resources).

Open the web page you wish to test in Google Chrome.

Un-maximize your browser window by selecting the "Restore Down" square in the upper-right corner.

Select the resolution test icon in the upper-right corner of the browser. This icon was installed during the Resolution Test installation.

Select a resolution, or select multiple resolutions, then click "View all selected."
Using Any Browser

Navigate to a web-based resolution-testing site (see Resources). These web-based tests provide a testing solution for all web browsers.

Enter the URL of the web page you wish to test in the appropriate URL field.

Select "Submit" or "Open Resize."
