Instructions

    • 1

Designate a location for your table. Drape it with the tablecloth. Create several layers of elevation by stacking the risers. Cover them with a tablecloth.

    • 2

Stack the plates; place them at the end of the table. Roll the silverware in napkins; place them next to the plates. Add a stack of napkins.

    • 3

Group coordinating items together, such as taco shells with cheese, salsa, sour cream and lime. Place the main item on the riser. Surround the riser with the optional items.

    • 4

Place the salad selections together in one section. Place the salad on the top riser, the dressings on the second riser and the veggie and cheese trays in front of the risers. Fill a riser with sliced cucumbers, pickles, carrots and zucchini.

    • 5

Arrange hot items together. Put them in chafing dishes to keep them warm. Group toothpicks, corn-on-the-cob holders or sliced lemons in the front of the dishes.

    • 6

Display a carved watermelon as your centerpiece. Surround it with baked desserts on cake plates or smaller, three-tiered dessert racks. Add nuts, small candy, chocolates or jelly beans on risers.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep an eye on the fires under a chafing dish.

  • Confirm the riser is able to handle the weight of the dish. If the dish wobbles, remove it from the riser.
