How to Fix an Error in Adobe Reader When the Root Object Is Missing

Repair the Adobe Reader with a software update.

The error on your Adobe reader is caused with you don't have a root object installed on the computer. The root object is what allows the program to launch on the system. You can repair the root object by reinstalling it through the Windows Update software that came with your system. This software will allow you to get rid of the error and use the program accordingly.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" button and then go over to the "All Programs" menu.

2. Click the "Windows Update" icon in the menu.

3. Click "Check for updates" on the left side of the software screen.

4. Click the "Adobe Update" that appears in the menu.

5. Click the "Install Updates" button at the bottom of the window.
