How to Program an Automated Remote Starter

Remote starters can be added to your keychain for your vehicle.

Like keyless entry remotes, automatic remote starters have become very common accessories on most vehicles around the world. These remotes allow you to start your car from as far as a couple hundred feet away, and you can heat it up at 10-minute intervals before you ever leave your house. You can program your own remotes in just minutes from your driver's seat with no previous experience or special equipment.

Instructions

1. Enter your car and leave your driver's door open.

2. Insert your key into the ignition and turn the key to the "Run" position.

3. Press the "Valet" button on your remote three times and wait for the horn to chirp

4. Press the "Valet" button again and hold it while you press and release the starter button on your remote.

5. Wait for the horn to chirp and release the "Valet" button to finish programming the starter.
