How to Install a Miata Battery
The factory-installed battery in a Mazda Miata is a gel-cell style battery and has an approximate service life of 60 months. As the Miata's battery approaches the end of its service life, its performance begins to fade substantially. A failing battery can cause dim or dull lighting, slow engine cranking and the complete inability to start the vehicle. Replacement Miata batteries are available from auto-parts stores and licensed Mazda dealerships.
