How to Design Your Own Church Letterhead

Custom letterhead can be used for any type of business or organization, including church. You can use official church letterhead to correspond with members of the church, to write requests for donations, or for any church-related correspondence. Designing letterhead for your church isn't a difficult process. With a little creativity, you can design church letterhead that will give your church correspondence an appealing, professional personality.

Select desktop publishing software or even a word processor that you can use to design your letterhead. Open the program and select "New" to create a new document. This will be the basis for your letterhead. Consider where you will place the elements on your letterhead. Elements should include the name of your church, contact information, and an image of your church if you want one.

Type the name of your church and left click with your mouse to select the name of your church. Go to the "Font" menu and choose a font style and size for the name of your church from the drop-down menu. Click to center, left, or right justify the name of your church. Typically, you want the name of your church to be bigger than the rest of the text. Consider making it a 16 or 20 point size.

Type the contact information for your church. This includes the address, phone number, fax number, and email address and website if you have them. Make this text 11 or twelve points. Either center it beneath the name of the church or set it on its own line, right or left justified. Consider adding a Bible phrase or a catch phrase used by your church to add personality to the letterhead.

Add an image of your church or a border image to your letterhead. Click the location of your letterhead where you want to add these elements, then go to the "Insert" menu and browse to the location of the image you want to insert. Click the image to place it on your letterhead.
