How to Use ""WOW"" Meta Gems

Meta gems are a special type of item that can be added to a character's equipment in the World of Warcraft game. These gems are created by players using the Jewelcrafting profession. Unlike normal gems, which provide flat bonuses to certain character attributes, meta gems offer qualitative improvements such as percentage-based attribute bonuses, random effects such as mana or health restoration when the player performs certain actions.

• Helm with a meta socket

Instructions

1. Purchase your desired meta gem. You may be able to purchase the gem from the Auction House or directly from another player.

2. Note down the requirements for the meta gem activation. Hover your mouse over the meta gem in your inventory to see the requirements. An example of a requirement is "requires at least 3 red gems."

3. Count the gems you already have stored in your gear to determine whether they match the meta gem's requirement. If they do not, purchase additional gems to socket into your gear until you meet the requirements, replacing existing gems if you have no free sockets.

4. Hold down the "Shift" key and right-click on your helm. Click on the meta gem in your inventory to pick it up, then click into the empty meta socket in the helm to place the meta gem there. Click the "Socket Gems" button to permanently socket the meta gem into the helm.
