Chkdsk helps keep your computer running smoothly.

Check Disk (Chkdsk) is a tool created by Microsoft to check the integrity of computer discs and repair any errors. Check Disk cannot be removed from the Windows operating system. However, Check Disk can be reconfigured and disabled. If Check Disk has stopped working for you, you will need to reset the tool. Fortunately, there is a free tool to allow you to easily do this.

    • 4

Click "Run," Yes," then "Yes" again and then "OK."
