The Nintendo Wii video game console is one of the most popular video game systems used in the home today. If you use an HDTV like those manufactured by Panasonic, it is well worth the small financial and time investment to use an HD connection to attach the Wii to the TV. Doing so will allow you to experience all of you favorite Wii games in the highest-possible picture and sound quality that your
Panasonic HDTV has to offer.
Things You'll Need
- Wii HD Link Connection cables (see Resources)
Connect the Wii-end of the HD Link cables into the video output port on the back of the Wii. If you are not sure of the location of this port, it is the only port into which the HD link cable will fit, so keep trying until you find the correct port on the back of the Wii.
Connect the 5 component cables on the other end of the HD link cables to the Panasonic's TV's component input. The location of the inputs will vary depending on which model of Panasonic HDTV you are using, but they will be grouped together and will be colored red, green, blue, red and white.
Tune the Panasonic to the component input using the input selection control. On most Panasonic HDTV remotes, this button will be labeled "TV/Video" toward the top-right of the remote. Press it repeatedly until the TV is set to the component input into which you plugged the Wii. You are now ready to play the Wii through the HD Link connection on your Panasonic HDTV.
