How to Make PowerPoint Uneditable

Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to make a presentation uneditable. When you use this feature, any user who opens the presentation must have the password in order to edit or modify it. Microsoft does not store the passwords applied to presentations, so you are responsible for keeping the password in a secure location.

  • Click the "Microsoft Office" button and select "Save As."

  • Click the "Tools" button in the "Save As" window and select "General Options."

  • Enter a password in the "Password to Modify" box. Click "OK." Re-enter the password in the "Confirm Password" window.

  • Enter a file name in the "Save As" window and press the "Save" button. The PowerPoint is now uneditable without the password.
