How to Hide a T-Mobile Call

Many phones come equipped with caller ID, a feature that displays the registered name and number of the caller. When you don't want your call recipient to know this information, you counteract it with caller ID block. Caller ID block is useful if you think that the person won't answer a call from your number. You may also not want the caller to get your number. With T-Mobile service, this feature is available on some phones. The ID blocking function can be enabled in the menu settings.

  • Open the phone menu on your T-Mobile phone.

  • Click "Settings."

  • Click "Call Settings."

  • Click "Additional Settings."

  • Click "Caller ID."

  • Click "Hide number."

Tips & Warnings

  • As long as this feature is enabled, your information will not show up on the call recipient's caller ID. To show your number again, go back into the Caller ID settings and click "Show number."
  • Some call recipients either manually or automatically reject calls with the caller ID blocked. It is possible your call won't go through because you've enabled caller ID block.
  • This feature is phone specific and may not be available on all T-Mobile phones. Instructions to enable the feature may also vary depending on the phone model in question. Please see your phone's user manual if you have questions about your specific phone.
