How to Uninstall the Software Updates Manager
The Software Updates Manager is an application that tracks, notifies and downloads updates for all applications that use the Update Service from InstallShield. InstallShield is a software company that develops and distributes software installation tools that many software vendors use to distribute their software. If you are having problems with the software updates for an application, uninstalling the Software Updates Manager can solve this issue.

Check your operating system to make sure Software Updates Manager is installed. Click "Start" and look for "Program Updates" or "Software Updates" in the Start menu. If either option is listed, the software is installed in the system.

Go to the Flexsera "Uninstall Update Manager" web page (See Resources). Click the "Download" text link in the "Discussion" section. The Software Manager Uninstall dialog window will open.

Click "Save File" to download the uninstall utility to your computer.

Double-click the uninstall updates manager ".exe" file. Follow the instructions from the uninstall wizard to remove the updates manager. Restart the computer if prompted by the system.
