How to Enable an Onboard VGA Chip in BIOS

Motherboards with onboard video cards often have controls for their cards in the motherboard's basic input output system. These settings allow you to alter a number of configuration options for the onboard video card. If you have problems with a separate graphics card and need to enable onboard video, you can do it in a matter of minutes through the BIOS.
Restart your computer. Watch the screen for a message such as "Press F2 to enter BIOS," "Press F1 to enter setup" or "Press DEL to enter settings." Press the key indicated. The key you need to press to get into BIOS varies based on your motherboard and BIOS version, but it's typically either a function key or "Delete."
Look through the BIOS menu options. While many different BIOS versions exist, video card settings are commonly found under the "Advanced" menu or the "Primary Video Adapter" menu. Use your arrow keys to select this menu option and press "Enter."
Change the onboard video setting from "Disabled" to "Enabled." Press "F10" to save your settings and exit.
