Rubbermaid sheds are durable storage units that snap together quickly. These sheds require no foundation, only a level surface on the ground. The walls of the Rubbermaid shed anchor securely into the floor. Usually it's not necessary to anchor the shed to the ground, however Rubbermaid places anchor locations on the floor of the shed should you decide to anchor it to the ground. Standard ground anchor stakes are available at home improvement centers; a 40-inch long stake is usually all you'll need for anchoring a Rubbermaid shed.
Step 1
Locate the anchor positions on the Rubbermaid shed floor. Each shed features recessed round spots in the floor for ground anchors.

Step 2
Drill through the recessed anchor areas with a 1/2-inch drill bit. This usually gives you a large enough hole for ground anchor stakes.
Step 3
Insert an anchor stake into the anchor hole until it touches the ground beneath the shed floor. Drive the anchor into the ground with a hammer until the anchor head is firmly on the floor. Repeat for all anchor positions.
