How to Do a Remote Desktop VPN Setup

A remote desktop VPN is a remote access connection. It gives the user the ability to access his computer when he is out of the office or home. It requires that the connection be configured on the router to allow access into the network. The software that can do this is free, and built into the Windows operating systems. If you can make changes to your router you will need to configure it. If you are on an office network you will need to have your network administrator make the network changes. She will also have to grant you permission, since this is potentially a breach of network security.
