How to Remove Car Wax From Vehicle Window Rubber
Waxing a car can make the vehicle shine and adds some protection for the vehicle's paint. When washing a car and removing the dirt, the waxing that follows will make the paint and car look like a new vehicle. When the wax gets onto the rubber part of the vehicle's window, the appearance of the vehicle is diminished. Wax on a car's paint will make the car shine; however, wax on the rubber of windows will result in a cloudy and unappealing appearance.

1
Apply a rubber or vinyl cleaner to the wax. If a rubber or vinyl cleaner is unavailable, use an all purpose cleaner, which is appropriate to remove the wax but might take a little longer. Rubber or vinyl cleaners will break down the wax while avoiding harm to the rubber of the window.
-
2
Rub the rubber gently with a toothbrush. The toothbrush not only helps break apart the wax, but it is a soft-bristle brush that will not damage the rubber.

3
Dampen a soft cloth and wipe away the cleaner and wax. Check that all of the wax is removed. If not, apply more cleaner and rub with the toothbrush.
-
4
Rinse the window rubber. The final rinse will remove any remaining cleaner. When the rubber dries completely, the wax is removed and the rubber is no longer cloudy in appearance.
