How to Remove W32.Parite
The W32.Parite is a virus that spreads to .EXE and .SCR files. It is a memory-resident virus and can cause a massive slowdown of your computer's Windows operating system, as well as any infected applications. W32.Parite is known by a few different names, including Win32.Pinfi, Win32.Pinfi.a, Win32.Parite.b and W32/Pate.a. Although it a relatively low-damage virus compared to others, it spreads quickly and should be removed when detected.

Restart your computer and press the "F8" key during startup. When prompted, choose "Safe Mode" and press "Enter."

Run your antivirus software and repair any files that are infected with the W32.Parite virus. You will prompted as to what is affecting your infected files. If you do not have antivirus software, download AVG for free (see "Resources").

Click on the "Start" menu and type "regedit" into the search bar. Press "Enter" to launch the registry editor.

Find the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder on the left side of the window and double-click it. Navigate to the "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer" folder and double-click it to display its contents on the right side of the window.

Right-click the "PINF" value and select delete. Exit the registry editor and restart your computer.
