1. Log on the Internet to AmericanAirlines.com or AA.com. This is the airline's official website, and all flight information is available upon request. The website also offers booking information, fare sales and special offers as well as airline merchandise. Use this website for all of your questions regarding luggage policies and flight information.

2. On the left menu tab hover your mouse over Travel Information. Another floating menu will appear with selections. Choose Gates and Times. Flight Status Notification, Checking-In, Airport Clubs and Lounges are some of the other options available in this menu. There is also a section for Frequently Asked Questions where you may find more helpful information.

3. Enter your flight number in the blue shaded box. If you do not know your flight number, enter the city or airport code. If you do know your flight departure city or destination, you should check your ticket information. The airport code and city name are displayed on your ticket for reference.

4. Select the flight date and click "Go." The flight date is the day your flight leaves its destination. Also select the time of the day your flight leaves, whether it is morning, afternoon or evening. The results display the flight schedule closest to the flight time you chose.
