How to Unlock the Trunk of a 1995 Cadillac DeVille With No Keys

To open the trunk of a 1995 Cadillac DeVille, you need to use a separate key than the one used for the ignition. If you do not have the key but need to open the trunk, it is possible to do so without damaging the vehicle. The DeVille has a manual unlock located inside of the trunk for safety reasons, such as the event a person is trapped inside. You can use this manual emergency unlock to open the trunk of your Cadillac DeVille.

Instructions

1. Firmly grasp the top of the rear seat back rest with your hands.

2. Pull forward on the rear seat rest to pull the tabs on the back of the seat out of the metal framing it is attached to. Fold the seat down. This allows you to access the trunk from two large holes located behind the the rear seat.

3. Reach inside the trunk and grab the lock release latch located in the center of the trunk towards the rear of the vehicle. It's a plastic handle attached to a small rope. Pull on it to pop the trunk lid.
