How to Add Sutterlin Script Fonts to Microsoft Word
The Sutterlin -- or Suetterlin -- script was a method of cursive writing taught in German schools at the beginning of the 20th century. During World War II, the German government discontinued teaching it in schools, because it was considered hard to read, in favor of a more modern style of writing. Today, you can enjoy using this old German script without needing to learn how to write it. Installing the Sutterlin script font on your computer makes it easy to create beautiful documents in Word.
Instructions

1
Download the Sutterlin font from a website that carries it, such as from Daily Free Fonts or from SoftMaker.

2
Find the downloadable Sutterlin font file on the website and click on "Download," or follow the instructions for downloading the file from that website.

A folder with the same name but without the .zip extension will now be created in the same directory that has the original zipped file.

Click on the "Start" button, then choose "Control Panel" from the menu.
-
5
Select "Fonts." You will see a list of fonts that are already installed on your computer.
-
6
Right-click anywhere in the panel of listed fonts and select "Install New Font..." An "Add Fonts" popup will appear.
-
7
Search through the folders in the bottom left panel to find the directory and unzipped folder for the Sutterlin font. Select that folder. Click on "Install" in the upper right corner.
-
8
Open a new Word document. You should now be able to select the Sutterlin font from the Fonts drop-down box.
