How to Remove the Track Changes Change Bar in Word 2007

Microsoft Word 2007 is a word processing program sold as both a standalone product and as part of the Microsoft Office 2007 Suite. One of the features of Office 2007 is the ability to track changes to your Word document. When this feature is turned on, the document will display all changes you make within the document. While this feature is helpful, at times you might want to turn the feature off.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Office 2007 program on your computer.

    • 2

Click the "Review" tab and select the "Tracking" option.

    • 3

Click the "Track Changes" indicator to turn off the track changes feature.

    • 4

Right-click the status bar and un-check the option "Track Changes." The track changes change bar or status bar will no longer appear in Word 2007.
