      Purchase an Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter if you do not have one (see Resources). It retails for $19, as of October 2010. You can also purchase it from a Mac store if you are close to one.

      Connect the Mini-DVI side of the adapter into the DVI port on the left side of your laptop. Connect the other end of the adapter (yellow RCA) to one end of a yellow RCA cable and connect the other end of the yellow RCA cable to the yellow RCA port on your TV.

      Turn on your MacBook, and then turn on your TV. Using your remote control, press the "Input" button and select the input channel to which you have connected your MacBook. Because this varies with different TV models, you may have to press the input button a couple of times until you see your MacBook's content on your TV screen.
