Plug the device into the wall and LAN connections. The local area network connects to the rear of the device and allows for different users to send print jobs to the device. The plug goes from the Ethernet hub to the device. Two LED lights on the top and bottom of the connection on the printer indicate if the connection is functioning. No lights mean no connection. Orange lights mean a fast connection, while green lights mean a standard connection. Push the test switch right above the connection to print a network configuration page and to confirm active connection.

Open the front cover and pull the drum cartridge straight out. Hold down the lock lever on the right and remove the toner cartridge from the drum unit by pulling it straight out. Shake the new cartridge side-to-side a few times and slide it into the drum cartridge until it clicks and the lock lever automatically lifts into place. Clean the primary corona wire located on the left edge of the top of the drum by sliding the blue tab left to right several times before returning it to the home position marked on the drum. Return the drum cartridge to the machine and close the front cover.
