How to Add Language Files to a Windows 7 Gateway Laptop
Whether English is your second language or you simply want to explore other language settings for your Gateway laptop, Windows 7 makes it relatively easy to change the display language for your computer.
Changing the display language in Windows 7 will change the menu and options language for your laptop. Installing a new display language in Windows 7 is as simple as a few mouse clicks.

Click "Start" and then "Control Panel." Click the "Clock, Language and Region" link in the main "Control Panel" window. After the new window opens, click the "Region and Language" option.

Click the "Keyboards and Languages" tab, then click "Install/Uninstall Languages" under the "Display Language" header.

Ensure your Gateway laptop's Internet connection is active. Click "Install Display Languages" and then "Launch Windows Update."

Wait for the Windows Update screen to appear, then click the "Optional Updates" link in the "Updates Available for Your Computer" box.

Scroll through list of supported Windows 7 languages, then click the checkbox next to the display language you want to install. After you make your selection, click the "OK" button.

Click the "Install Updates" button in the Windows Update dialog window. Wait for Windows 7 to download the language files and install them on your Gateway laptop. Reboot your laptop when prompted to do so.
