How to Recycle RV Appliances
Recreation vehicle appliances can be anything from small built-in electronics to the more freestanding appliances such as RV microwaves. Because many RV appliances are unusual shapes and sizes, they may not be easy to resell. And throwing them away fills up landfills while potentially leaking toxins into the topsoil over time. To ensure that your RV appliances will be reused or recycled, take them to an RV salvage yard, where other enthusiasts can find the used parts they need.

1
Find a local RV salvage yard by clicking on your state in the "RV Salvage Yards" page of The RVers' Corner website (see Resources).
-
2
Call the salvage yard(s) and ask about their reuse and recycling policies. Ask what kinds of parts they take, and list the ones you want to recycle. Also ask if they recycle parts that they don't reuse or sell. If they don't, call your local recycling center for suggestions.

3
Take the RV appliances to the salvage yard. If they pay for parts, pick up your money on that visit.
