The Silent Knight alarm system aims to prevent burglar intrusion.

The Silent Knight 2730 alarm is a security system designed to prevent home intrusions and theft. Its components are the control panel, a remote keypad and system sensors, which include door contact switches, motion detectors and smoke detectors. Up to 10 easily changeable access codes may be programmed into the keypad. These codes either arm or disarm the system. The control panel can be concealed in the cellar, utility room or a closet in your home. If your alarm isn't working correctly, there are a few steps you can try before calling the manufacturer. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Correct a mistake if you've entered the wrong access code. Wait five or more seconds before entering the correct code. Press "Test" before re-entering the code.

    • 2

Arm the system. The green "Ready" light should be on. If it is not on, one or more of the intrusion zones is bad, meaning that zone has a door or window that is not closed.

    • 3

Go to the zone within your home and make sure the doors and windows are closed. If a door or window was open, and you close it, the zone light should turn off, and the system may be armed.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the "fire" light in the keypad is on, this may indicate a broken wire. If the "emergency" light is on, this also may indicate a broken wire. Contact the manufacturer for replacement.
