How to Create a Business Budget Plan
When you are starting your own business, you have to write a business plan. Creating a business budget is an essential part of writing and composing a business plan. A business budget includes fixed expenses, flexible expenses and start-up expenses. To ensure all expenses are covered, make a list of all possible expenses you can think of for your business, including services and product production expenses.

1
Create a list of the start-up expenses for the business. These are one-time expenses to get your business off the ground, including office supplies, an office desk and a computer, for example. These start-up expenses depend on your specific business needs.
-
2
Write down and plan out each budget month, in terms of your fixed assets. Fixed assets include telephone bills, rental space fees and other expenses that reappear each month for your business operation. Your personal salary and your employee salaries are also fixed expenses.

3
Write down your flexible business expenses. These are expenses that change month to month. This includes business cards, outsourcing services or business dinners with potential clients. Marketing expenses can either be a fixed or flexible expense. It depends how much you are willing to spend on marketing.
-
4
Make predictions as to how much you will make each month. The predictions should include both successful high-earning months and low-earning months.
-
5
Budget your money and track your business spending. Write down what you have left each month after your fixed and flexible expenses have been paid. If you start earning more money and your expenses grow, make categories and adjust as required. For example, if you get a company car, add this category under your fixed assets.
-
6
Add your profit in a savings category. This amount will help determine what the business is worth.
-
7
Update your business budget monthly or bi-monthly to ensure it stays on track. This includes details on flexible expenses, so you can always go back and reference previous budget details broken down by month. Keeping the budget organized by month will help you locate specific items faster.
