How to Reset a Denon AVR-788 Receiver to Factory Defaults

The AVR-788 is a receiver made by Denon. It features a radio tuner and connects to five audio speakers for surround sound. It accepts input from a TV, DVD player, VCR, CD player, tape deck, TV/cable tuner, video camera, game console and iPod, and has a variety of audio settings that you can change. If the setting changes you make no longer suit your needs, or if the receiver has a problem, you can reset it.

      Press the "Power" button to turn off the AVR-788.

      Press the "Power" button while simultaneously pressing the "Speaker A" and "Speaker B" buttons. Wait for the AVR-788 display to start flashing at a rate of about once per second.

      Release the buttons after the display starts flashing. The AVR-788 is now reset to factory default settings.
