How to Decorate for a Summer Party
A summer party should provide a relaxed, colorful and vibrant atmosphere. You don't have to spend much on summer party decorations, especially if the party is outside. The outdoors provide a lot of natural decoration, but heighten that look with some bright decor. A pool party is another summer party option that needs little decoration. Place anything summer-related around your party space. Pool toys, surfboards, flowered leis, seashells and beach balls are a few ideas. Set out lounge chairs for guests to relax in.

Light up your party with hanging Chinese lanterns. Strings of brightly colored paper lanterns liven up any summer party and look beautiful in the evening. Torches also light up a summer fiesta, but clear twinkle lights would work, too.

Float candles in bowls of colored water. Use food coloring to color the water blue and use seashell shaped candles for a pretty table centerpiece.

Consider kids. Hang up some pinatas that kids can take a stick to during the party to have some fun, and some water noodles they can play with can be sitting around the party space. Those are perfect to have on hand for a pool party.
