How to Wrap a Gift with a Tea Towel
Sometimes the most difficult part of gift giving is finding the wrapping paper or box to cover the gift with. Clever gift wrappings, like tea towels, that become part of the gift are unusual and useful. This makes a good alternative to throwaway paper wrap and cardboard boxes. Cut a 1-foot section of ribbon from the spool using sharp scissors.

Lay the tea towel on a flat, clean surface, wrong side up.

Place your gift inside the tea towel, centering it on the fabric. The gift should be small enough to hide within the towel once you have pulled the sides up.

Gather the towel up over the top of the gift. Use your left hand to do this.

Slide a rubber band over the fabric you gathered to cinch it. Double up the rubber band to tighten it.

Wrap the ribbon around the gathered fabric, making a bow in the front. Cover the rubber band with the ribbon.

Snip an inverted "V" shape into the bottom of the ribbon's two ends.

Tips & Warnings
If giving a jar food gift, tuck a decorative spoon inside the rubber band before wrapping it with ribbon.
