Kazaa is a peer-to-peer file sharing application operating on the Gnutella network, similar to BearShare and Limewire. Despite being pegged as an application to illegally share files, Kazaa offers many files legally available via Creative Commons licensing. If you've downloaded audio files via Kazaa, importing them into your iTunes library is fairly easily.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Kazaa music folder. In most instances, this will be in your "Music" folder in the "Documents" folder. If the folder is not located there, open Kazaa, view the preferences and determine where your downloads are saved.

    • 2

      Open iTunes.

    • 3

Select the music files from the Kazaa music folder. You can select multiple files by dragging the mouse across all of them.

    • 4

Drag the files into the iTunes library. iTunes will begin importing the files. Once processed, the files will be listed in the "Music" section of your iTunes library.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not download illegally shared files using Kazaa.
