How to Acquire a Degree in Human Resources Management
Human resources management (HRM) is a specialized field that focuses on developing and managing people in the work setting. It covers different functions such as recruitment and selection, human resource planning, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits and labor relations. A Bachelor of Science degree in HRM prepares students to work as HR professionals in both unionized and non-unionized environments. Upon graduation, they can demonstrate the basic competencies and skills to progress in a career in human resources or industrial relations, or pursue graduate studies. The HRM program encompasses several disciplines, including business administration and psychology.
