How to Replace the Missing Volume Control in a Desktop Tray
The Volume Control icon that resembles a speaker is placed next to the clock in the notification area of the taskbar in Windows. You can use this icon to quickly access and change the volume on your PC. However, if you are working on a public computer, this icon might have been disabled. Right-click the Taskbar anywhere in a blank space and select "Properties."

If your system is corrupted, you need to run the Windows System File Checker utility. Click "Start," type "cmd" in the "Start Search" box and press "Enter." Type "sfc.exe /scannow " in the command line window and press "Enter." Restart your computer when the scan is finished.
