How to Make a Snake Walking Stick With Bottle Caps

How to Make a Snake Walking Stick With Bottle Caps thumbnail
You can collect bottle caps to use for craft projects.

Bottle caps are usually tossed into the trash, which can build up in landfills. One way to reuse bottle caps is to collect them to use in whimsical crafts. For example, you can string many bottle caps onto a thin stick to transform it into a colorful snake-like walking stick. Once finished, you can use the walking stick when you go walking or hiking in the forests or parks around your home.

    • 3

Remove the nail from the bottle cap.

    • 4

Insert a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, and plug in the hot glue gun to heat up for 5 minutes.

    • 5

Squeeze a large dollop of hot glue onto one end of a 1/4 inch thick stick. Allow the hot glue to cool completely.

    • 6

Thread the bottle cap onto the stick.

    • 7

Prepare more bottle caps as before, and add them onto the stick until the entire stick is filled with caps.

    • 8

Apply another dollop of hot glue to the other end of the stick to secure the bottle caps into place. Allow the hot glue to cool completely before using the walking stick.
