Fill a glass with water and place a digital appliance thermometer into it.

Allow the glass and the thermometer to remain in the compact mini refrigerator for five to eight hours undisturbed or overnight.

Check the temperature on the thermometer without removing the glass from the refrigerator. The thermometer should read between 37 degrees and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Adjust the temperature control on the compact mini refrigerator and recheck the thermometer after five to eight hours.
