How to Lease a Car in Arizona
If you are interested in getting a new car in Arizona, but you do not want to buy it, you can lease it instead. With a car lease, you have the car for a set period of time and when the lease is up you can either return it to the car dealer or buy it from the dealer. In some states, like Massachusetts, you must pay an excise tax when leasing a vehicle, but there is no such thing in Arizona. In fact, there is nothing unique to leasing a car in Arizona.

1
Used the Edmunds website to identify car dealerships in your local area of Arizona. You can search by make or by Arizona city.

2
Complete a credit application on the car dealer website, or visit one of the local dealerships to complete a credit application in-person. In Arizona, like other states, you must qualify for financing through the dealership in order to lease the vehicle. Good credit is required, but car dealers do not list a minimum credit score to qualify.

Negotiate with the car dealer on the specifics of the lease agreement that you want. You must select a lease period, which usually ranges from 24 months to 48 months. The standard number of miles is usually 10,000, but you can negotiate between 12,000 and 15,000 if you plan to drive more than 10,000 miles each year.
