How to Glue Foamboard
Building craft projects with foam board or foam core board requires an adhesive that does not break down the foam. Using the wrong adhesive will eat away at the structure of the foam, causing your craft project to fall apart shortly after assembly. Different types of adhesive will bond the foam board, although the safest type requires no heat to melt the glue and does not emit flammable fumes.

Cut the nozzle of an adhesive tube on a 45-degree angle with a utility knife. Puncture the seal at the bottom of the tube with the wire mounted to a drop-in caulk gun.
-
2
Pull the arm of the drop-in caulk gun toward the back of the gun. Slide the opened tube of adhesive into the drop-in caulk gun. Push the arm forward to lock the tube of adhesive in place.

3
Squeeze the handle of the drop-in caulk gun to dispense adhesive from the tube. Drag the caulk gun along the edge of the foam board.
-
