How to Fix Your CD Key on Age of Mythology

It is possible to directly install Age of Mythology onto your computer.

When installing the video game Age of Mythology onto your Windows system, you are required to enter in a CD key. This CD key is specific to the installation CD; so, if you enter in the wrong key code, the video game does not install. This is to help prevent piracy. However, if you are having trouble with your CD key, there are a few methods available for correcting the problem.

Instructions

1. Type in the actual CD installation key into the installation wizard when prompted. If you type in the incorrect key the first time you attempt to install the program, you will be prompted to re-enter the key. However, occasionally this does not fix the problem.

2. Exit out of the installation wizard by clicking the "Cancel" button in the corner of the installation window.

3. Click "Start," "Control Panel," "Programs," "Installed Programs," then choose "Age of Mythology" and select "Delete." This opens the uninstall wizard. Click "Uninstall" and the information that is on the computer will be removed from the system.

4. Restart the computer, then insert the Age of Mythology CD into the computer. Wait for the installation wizard to load onto the screen. Type the correct installation key into the wizard when prompted and click "Next." The program will now completely install onto your computer.
