Creating your own customizable calendar allows you to add your own touch to an important organizational tool. You can add personal photographs, birth dates or events to the calendar. There are varieties of websites that allow you to upload your own images and add special details for free. You can print your calendar from your printer or order a version from the website.

Collect the important dates you want to add to your calendar. These dates may include holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, school and work schedules and anything else you would like to add.

Choose a website that allows you to create a free customizable calendar. There are some listed in the Resources section. Navigate to your chosen website and sign up for a free account. After you create your account, the website will direct you to a menu to create your calendar.

Decide what type of calendar you wish to create. This calendar can be a full calendar, half-size calendar, or a tear-off.

Choose a starting and ending month and the date range.

Work on each month, one at a time. Upload your photographs, add image captions and personalize each month.

Upload your cover image. If you wish, you may add a calendar dedication and cover title.

Print your calendar using the .pdf file. If you cannot open .pdf files, you must download Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. If you choose, you can have the website professionally print your calendar. This service is not free and requires a valid credit card.
