How do I Connect Headlights to a Car?

The headlight inside this headlight assembly connects to the car through a wiring harness.

The headlight assembly of a car houses the high and low headlight beams. Sockets in the headlight assembly hold the headlights, and the sockets are connected to the headlight control system through the wiring harness. This is how the headlight is connected to the car. For anyone whose headlights have become disconnected from the car, or who are installing new headlights, the process for connecting the headlights is extremely simple and shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Turn off your car and prop open the hood.

2. Look behind the headlight assembly for the wiring harness that has become disconnected.

3. Hold the side tabs of the wiring harness and plug it into the rear of the headlight assembly. This action connects the wiring harness to the headlight socket and, therefore, the headlight itself.

4. Turn on your headlights to test that the headlight is connected to the car.
