How to Knot a Necktie
There are a surprising number of men who do not actively know how to tie a necktie. The process can result in knots and creases if done incorrectly, which can ruin a nice tie. There are variations on the necktie knots from a half-windsor knot to a full-windsor (commonly called a double-windsor). The knot that fits the most faces and appears most classy and stylish because of its symmetry is the full-windsor. It's also one of the simplest knots. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Hang the wide or big side on the right side of your neck, draping the thinner end about 12 inches or so. Once the tie is finished, if it's too short or long, retie the necktie, using the beginning length here as a point of reference.
-
2
Cross the large edge over the small end, so the large side is on top and diagonally pointing to the left. Bring the big side under and up through the neck-loop. Once through the loop, pull back down and over the left side again.

-
3
Move the big side around underneath the knot and bring it to the right side. The underside of the tie will be showing.
-
4
Balance the tie by wrapping it up, over, and down through the neck-loop again, but only the right side. The underside of the tie should be showing again.
-
5
Wrap the big side over the front knot from right to left. Tuck the big side up through the neck-loop and down.
-
6
Pull the front of the knot so one layer is separated. Slip the front of the tie through the opening and pull the ends to tighten the knot.
To get the dimple, push your finger in the center and adjust the sides.
