How to Save a Slide Background as a Graphic in Open Office

Open Office is the open source competitor of Microsoft Office. It provides a number of productivity options that are comparable to Microsoft counterparts. Among these options is Open Office Impress, which can produce slide show presentations similar to Microsoft Powerpoint. Impress includes a number of different template and editing options, including the options of setting your own image or a template image as the slide background. A situation may arise where you wish to export this background as an image file. Fortunately, it is possible to do so.
